OUR MISSION
  • The Wallenberg Foundation of New Jersey, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit interfaith organization of volunteers dedicated to fostering the ideals of Raoul Wallenberg among the youth of today and tomorrow.
  • The mission of the Foundation is to educate people, especially young people, about the positive and lasting impact that one person's action can have on the world; to encourage young people to take such actions; and to recognize those who do.
  • Each year under its Wallenberg Honors Program, the Foundation works with local school districts to recognize young people who have embraced the Wallenberg ideals and whose actions have made their world a more tolerant and accepting place.
OUR GOALS
  • To expand the Wallenberg Honors Program statewide
  • To develop projects that will educate the public about this 20th century hero - one of only four figures in history to be named an Honorary U.S. Citizen
  • To establish a self-sustaining endowment fund that will ensure the continued pursuit of the ideals embodied by Raoul Wallenberg
